Saint Gertrude the Great
Hello my name is St. Gertrude The Great . I was born in the year 1256 January 6. I was born in Bienne, Valcamonica. I had ten brothers and sisters only three girls survived and their names were Bartolomea, Cristina, and Cather. My family members where all German.
In my early life, when I was 4 years of age I entered the school of Helfta. Later, I became a Benedictine Nun, Theologian, and Mystic. I am recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. I am the only saint with the name “The Great.”
One of my works includes executing the ceremonies of the Splendid Benedictine ritual “with precision and piety.” One of my miracles was seeing a vision of Jesus. I recorded many of my mystical experiences. By doing so I served the world and people around me. I died from illness in 1301 November 13th. I became a saint during the Epiphany Season. My feast day is November 16th, and I am the patron saint of the West Indies.
